It was already a beautiful machine, but Cricut’s Explore Air is about to receive the ultimate facelift.
Doesn’t it look snazzy?!
In this latest model, the trademark light blue makes way for gold trimming, gold buttons and a gold dial.
Cricut calls it their ‘most glamorous and elegant machine yet’.
We’re not going to disagree with that, but before you rush out to buy a brand new cutter expecting a quantum leap in performance — a new Gold standard — hold on to your hats.
Operationally and functionally, this machine is exactly the same as the original Explore Air.
It just looks nicer.
And costs more.
You can check out our in-depth review of the Cricut Explore Air here.
Cricut Gold: Live Launch on Create and Craft TV
To mark the launch, Cricut Ambassador Suzie Candlin will be appearing with the Cricut Explore Air Gold Edition on Create and Craft TV this Thursday at 9AM.
Suzie will be showing off the popular machine and answering your questions with a live demonstration.
While we already know that the Explore Air is one of the best vinyl cutters of 2016, we look forward to seeing the Gold Edition up close. As well as some new bundles…
Yep, the show is teasing the release of exclusive new gold tool and trimmer accessories.
We can’t find any info on the exact nature of those accessories so you’ll have to tune in to find out what the bundles include.
Explore Air Gold is Available to Order
You can normally count on Amazon to jump ahead of the queue when it comes to shipping brand new cutters before everybody else.
Sure enough, the Explore Air Gold is available to order now via Amazon.
If you want the gold edition, you could be in for a long wait.
What do you think of the Cricut Gold? Beautiful machine or a needless extra cost? Or both?!
